Job Description
Agronomy Grounds Staff (Seasonal) The Agronomy Grounds Staff plays a key role in maintaining the overall beauty and playability of the golf course and club grounds at Coldstream Country Club. This position is responsible for performing landscaping, mowing, irrigation, and general grounds maintenance to ensure an exceptional experience for members and guests. The Agronomy Grounds Staff ensures that all areas are kept in top condition while following safety and maintenance standards. Specific Responsibilities - Included but
Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and golf course machinery.
Assist in irrigation management, including watering, repairing sprinkler heads, and monitoring turf hydration.
Perform bunker maintenance, including raking, edging, and sand replenishment.
Assist in aerating, fertilizing, and applying pest control treatments as directed by the Golf Course Superintendent.
Trim and prune trees, shrubs, and hedges to maintain an aesthetically pleasing landscape.
Ensure walkways, cart paths, and public areas are clear of debris, leaves, and hazards.
Assist with course setup, including cup cutting, tee marker placement, and hazard maintenance.
Help with seasonal projects such as overseeding, aeration, and weather-related cleanup.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance buildings, storage areas, and equipment.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines when using tools, chemicals, and machinery.
Assist in special event setup, ensuring outdoor areas are well-groomed and presentable.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent or Golf Course Management. Business and Financial (If Necessary): Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of landscaping supplies and turf care products.
Ensure proper care and maintenance of all groundskeeping equipment to extend longevity and efficiency.
Support cost-saving initiatives by minimizing waste and maximizing resource use.
Ability to operate and maintain grounds equipment safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality turf and landscape conditions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing course conditions.
Basic understanding of irrigation and turf management is a plus.
Ability to work early in the mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Valid drivers license is preferred for operating club maintenance vehicles.
