Job Description

Do you enjoy taking a beautiful property and making it exceptional? We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in creating beautiful landscapes. This is not a high-pressure landscape company position where you're rushing from job to job. Instead, you'll have the opportunity to care for a well-maintained private property where quality is valued over speed. We're seeking someone who notices the little details, enjoys working independently, and takes satisfaction in seeing the results of their work. These may be filled as two separate part-time positions—or combined into one position for the right individual. Position 1 - Estate Grounds Care Responsibilities include:
  • Weekly mowing using commercial equipment
  • String trimming and edging
  • Blowing walks, patios, and driveways
  • Weed control
  • General lawn and property appearance This position generally averages 4-5 hours per week, with some seasonal variation. Position 2 - Garden & Horticultural Care Responsibilities include:
  • Weeding landscape beds
  • Pruning shrubs and ornamental plants
  • Deadheading flowers
  • Seasonal planting and bed cleanup
  • Mulching and general landscape care
  • Identifying opportunities to improve the beauty and appearance of the property Hours are flexible (average of two 4-hour days/week) and vary by season, with additional work typically available during the spring and early summer. The Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who:
  • Takes genuine pride in producing exceptional work
  • Enjoys working independently
  • Is dependable, trustworthy, and self-motivated
  • Notices things that need attention without being asked
  • Appreciates creating beautiful outdoor spaces
  • Has experience with lawn maintenance, gardening, or landscape care
  • Can safely operate commercial lawn equipment (for the grounds position)
  • Has a valid driver's license Retirees, semi-retired individuals, experienced gardeners, former landscapers, golf course employees, parks employees, nursery professionals, and Master Gardeners are especially encouraged to apply. What We Offer
  • Flexible part-time schedule
  • Beautiful private property
  • Commercial-grade equipment provided
  • Independent work environment
  • Competitive hourly compensation based on experience
  • Opportunity for a long-term working relationship Our Philosophy We're not looking for someone who simply completes a checklist.
We're looking for someone who treats the property as if it were their own, someone who notices a weed before anyone else does, trims a shrub because it needs it, and enjoys leaving the property looking better than when they arrived. If you take pride in creating beautiful outdoor spaces and are looking for a flexible, long-term part-time opportunity, we'd enjoy hearing from you.
