Seasonal Grounds and Maintenance Team Member

Job Summary We are seeking an entry level Grounds and Maintenance Team Member to keep our outdoor spaces safe, beautiful, and functional. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining landscaping, performing groundskeeping duties, and executing various maintenance tasks across our property. Your expertise in mechanical systems, landscaping, and grounds care will ensure a welcoming environment for visitors, staff, and residents alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your hands-on skills in a dynamic setting while contributing to the overall aesthetic and safety of our grounds. Duties Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, tree trimming, and planting to promote healthy growth and visual appeal. Operate lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems with precision and safety. Maintain hardscape features like walkways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures through routine inspections and repairs. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for gardening, landscaping, construction projects, or general repairs. Conduct snow plowing operations during winter months to ensure clear pathways and safe access across the property. Assist with tree care activities including trimming, removal, or planting to support landscape health and safety standards. Support construction or renovation projects involving excavation equipment like excavators or other heavy machinery as needed. Perform routine inspections of mechanical systems such as irrigation setups or landscape lighting to ensure proper functioning. Collaborate with team members on landscaping projects that enhance the property's aesthetic appeal and environmental sustainability. Ensure all groundskeeping activities comply with safety regulations and environmental best practices. Experience Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or groundskeeping roles Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, hand tools, and small machinery. Familiarity with landscaping techniques including hardscape installation and tree care practices. Prior work experience in construction or maintenance environments is preferred. Ability to operate lawn care equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Knowledge of seasonal maintenance tasks such as snow plowing or seasonal planting cycles is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and effectively.
