Overview
FULL TIME GOLF COURSE MAINTENANCE POSITION
Eagle Point Golf Club Do you have an interest in learning all about golf course maintenance. Come learn and be trained in golf course maintenance operations. Learn how to operate various types of equipment and how to maintain a golf course. Primary Maintenance Duties include : Ø Mowing greens, tees, fairways & rough. Raking bunkers, edging, sand seeding, garbage detail, string trimming, hand mowing, golf course set-up and more. Ø Maintains lawns and grass areas using accepted practices in mowing, watering, fertilizing and weeding, including hauling and spreading materials. Ø Maintains trees using accepted practices in pruning. Gathers and disposes of leaves. Keeps sidewalks and parking lot areas clean. Ø Has familiarity of using power and landscape tools…but can train; such as leaf blower, power washer, gas powered lawn mower, hedge trimmer, and chain saw. Uses all types of hand tools such as hammer, screwdriver, wire cutter, pliers, pruning shears, etc.
Work Environment and Physical Demands :
Ø Work tasks are performed predominantly outdoors and involve physical strength, endurance, and manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment. Ø Requires walking and standing for long periods of time. The duration of time will vary dependent on the specific task being accomplished. Ø Must be able to exert and lift more than 50 lbs frequently and up to 25 lbs regularly. Ø Must be able to work in varying temperatures and inclement weather.
Ideal Candidate:
Motivated to learn new skills, has a great attitude, takes pride in their contribution to creating outstanding conditions on the golf course, love working outside, teachable, self-starter, organized, works well with others, and hard working. Will train in all aspects of maintenance. Golf course or landscape experience is a plus but not required. Position is 40 hours per week. Preferred schedule 6:00am - 2:30pm, but needs to be flexible. Pay:
$16.50 - $18.00 per hour
