Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic Tree Service team as a Groundsman, where your enthusiasm for outdoor work and passion for tree care will help maintain and enhance beautiful landscapes. In this vital role, you'll assist arborists and tree care specialists by preparing work sites, handling equipment, and supporting safe and efficient tree removal, pruning, and trimming operations. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop hands-on skills in arboriculture while working in a lively outdoor environment that values safety, teamwork, and growth. Duties Assist with tree removal, pruning, and trimming using appropriate tools and techniques under supervision Operate equipment such as bucket trucks and rigging gear to facilitate safe tree work Support arborists with plant pruning care, tree care assessments, and landscape maintenance tasks Prepare work sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and ensuring all equipment is ready for use Follow strict safety protocols during all operations to ensure personal safety and that of team members Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to assist with mapping and site planning when necessary Maintain equipment including chainsaws, bucket trucks, rigging gear, and other tools in excellent condition Requirements Prior outdoor work experience preferred; familiarity with landscaping or horticulture is a plus Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques, tree removal methods, and tree trimming best practices Ability to operate a bucket truck safely and effectively Experience with plant pruning care, tree care practices, and general landscape maintenance Strong understanding of safety protocols related to climbing, rigging, and equipment use Basic knowledge of GIS technology is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential Physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions Growing experience or interest in dendrology (the study of trees), horticulture, or landscaping is highly valued Embark on a rewarding career path where your outdoor skills make a real difference! Pay:
From $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
