Job Description

Individual performs a variety of manual aid and semi-skilled tasks required in maintaining fairground property (buildings and grounds). Individual does work related as required. Individual is responsible for maintaining the fairgrounds for the use of the public. Individual performs work under the supervision of the Fairgrounds Manager.
Position Description:
full time March 15th-October 30th and part time November 1st-March 15th starting wage: $20-$25 an hour depending on experience no benefits Listed below are the essential functions needed of persons in this position: must be 18 years or older must have a valid drivers license must be able to pass a background check must be able to pass a drug screening must have a high school diploma or equivalency must be able to communicate effectively in English must be able to operate a dump truck, tractor, fork lift, saw, drill, welders, lawn mowers, and other hand and power tools must deal well with the general public and be helpful to their general needs must perform ground maintenance such as: mowing lawns, weeding, pruning trees and shrubs, and a good appearance of the overall grounds must have the ability to read and interpret documents for operating and maintaining equipment and grounds must work well with others (fairboard members, building workers, and others) in accomplishing tasks must be able to regularly lift/move up to 75 pounds must be able to occasionally lift/move more than 100 pounds must be able to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, lift, climb, balance, talk, and hear to get work accomplished must be highly motivated and self directed must be customer service oriented two years of experience in performing varied building and mechanical maintenance work/grounds keeping is preferred This cover all of the many duties of the position, but are the main ones
