This position involves performing various outdoor tasks to keep the yard safe, functional, and visually appealing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with grounds maintenance, landscaping, and outdoor equipment, along with a keen eye for detail and safety. Responsibilities Mow lawns and trim grass using power tools and lawn care equipment to ensure a neat appearance. Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, and weed control. Operate groundskeeping machinery including trimmers, blowers, and small construction tools safely and efficiently. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns. Conduct tree trimming, shrub shaping, and hardscape upkeep to enhance yard aesthetics. Assist with snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe. Follow safety protocols at all times while handling equipment or working around outdoor hazards. Skills Mechanical knowledge related to lawn mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping tools. Experience with landscape maintenance, gardening, and groundskeeping practices. Familiarity with plant identification and horticulture principles. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and landscaping equipment confidently. Knowledge of irrigation systems, pesticide management, and basic construction skills. Outdoor work experience with a focus on safety protocol adherence. Strong work ethic with attention to detail in lawn care, tree trimming, and hardscape projects.
