Groundskeeper Place 2B Properties Salem, OR Job Details Full-time $17 - $19 an hour 2 days ago Benefits Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Customer communication Driver's License Driving Full Job Description As a Groundskeeper at Place 2B Properties, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of our residential and multifamily properties across multiple locations. You will follow a set schedule, traveling to different properties to ensure each one remains well-maintained and presentable. In this role, you'll work closely with the maintenance and property management team to create a positive environment for our residents. This is a mobile position, providing you with the opportunity to contribute to various communities while enjoying the flexibility of traveling between properties.
Key Responsibilities:
General Cleaning:
Ensure that grounds, such as parking lots, walkways, and landscaping, are kept clean and free of debris. Clean and sanitize common areas including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and laundry rooms. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust as needed. Ensure that trash and recycling bins are emptied and clean.
Trash and Recycling Management:
Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from common areas and, occasionally, individual units. Put in Maintenance requests for large pickups. Maintain cleanliness around trash receptacles and disposal areas. Maintain any dog stations if applicable.
Safety and Security:
Monitor the property for any safety hazards and report them immediately. Ensure that access to common areas is secure and that all keys are properly managed. Report any abandoned vehicles to Maintenance Manager.
Customer Service:
Respond to basic requests and inquiries from residents in a professional and courteous manner. Assist with resident move-ins and move-outs, including cleaning vacated units.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain logs of completed tasks and report any significant issues or damages to management. Assist with inventory management of cleaning supplies and maintenance materials.
Special Projects:
Participate in special projects as needed, such as seasonal cleaning, preparation for inspections, or community events. Assist in snow removal or other weather-related tasks as required. Backup to Main Office custodian Other tasks as assigned by the Director of Maintenance. This job description is not an all-inclusive list of functions and tasks. Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License Personal Vehicle to drive from site to site. Ability to pass a background check. Ability to pass a
Driver's Record Check Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Previous experience in groundskeeping or maintenance roles preferred Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and operating maintenance equipment. Basic knowledge of landscaping and grounds maintenance. Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team. Attention to detail and ability to identify and report maintenance issues. Comfortable working outdoors year-round.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Frequent travel to residential and multifamily properties throughout the Willamette Valley and surrounding areas Regular walking, standing, bending, and climbing stairs during property visits and inspections Occasional lifting and carrying of items up to 50 lbs (such as files, tools, signage, or supplies) Work performed both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying weather conditions Fast-paced, team-oriented environment that values flexibility, problem-solving, and customer service May require occasional evening or weekend availability for emergencies or scheduled events
Employment Type & Availability:
This position is Full-Time, Monday through Friday.
Location:
We're looking for someone in Salem, Oregon, as this is an on-site position.
