Job Description
Grow Something Meaningful Redeemer Valley Farm | Huntingdon Valley, PA Join Redeemer Valley Farm, a ministry of the Sisters of the Redeemer, where regenerative agriculture, community, and care for the earth come together. Our farm includes an 80-member community garden, a micro goat dairy, and a market garden. We're looking for a dependable, hands-on Garden & Animal Assistants who enjoys working outdoors, caring for plants and animals, and being part of a community-focused farm. Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available. Working with the Lead Farmer and Animal Caretaker, you'll help with: Planting, seeding, transplanting, watering, weeding and crop maintenance Harvesting, washing, packing and distributing produce Irrigation, composting, soil amendments and integrated pest management Orchard, native garden, raised-bed and grounds maintenance Care of chickens, goats, sheep, rabbits and farm cats General farm, equipment and facility maintenance Supporting farm markets, CSA activities and community events Maintaining a clean, organized and safe farm environment You'll need: 1-3 years of farming, gardening, groundskeeping or related experience preferred Passion for gardening, farming and regenerative practices Basic knowledge of horticulture, plant care and farm maintenance To be comfortable performing physical outdoor work, including lifting, digging and carrying Ability to safely use and maintain farm tools and equipment Strong work ethic, reliability and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills and a welcoming approach to community members Valid Pennsylvania driver's license An agricultural degree or formal education is a plus, but practical experience and a genuine passion for the work are highly valued. This is more than a farm job.
