This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, applying your skills in landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, and horticulture. You will assist with a variety of landscaping projects, ensuring that gardens, lawns, and public areas are vibrant, healthy, and visually appealing. This paid position is perfect for individuals who enjoy outdoor work and take pride in delivering high-quality grounds care. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and weeding to keep outdoor areas pristine and inviting Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools safely and efficiently Assist with irrigation system installation, repair, and ongoing management to ensure proper watering of plants and turf Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and pests to support healthy landscape growth and pest management strategies Conduct routine grounds inspections to identify issues requiring attention or repair Follow safety protocols diligently during all landscaping activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment Support seasonal tasks such as tree trimming, fertilization, aeration, and soil preparation to promote healthy plant growth Experience Prior outdoor work experience or background in landscaping or grounds maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Familiarity with landscape tools, hand tools, power tools, and grounds equipment operation is advantageous Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification and basic pest management techniques is beneficial Mechanical knowledge related to irrigation systems and equipment maintenance is a plus Ability to follow safety procedures closely while working with various landscaping machinery and chemicals Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions is essential Enthusiasm for gardening, lawn care, tree trimming, and grounds upkeep will help you excel in this role Embark on a rewarding career where your hands-on skills make a tangible difference in outdoor environments!
