Responsibilities Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to ensure healthy and attractive lawns and gardens. Identify plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to provide proper care and pest management. Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators and irrigation systems safely and efficiently. Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering practices for diverse plantings. Manage pesticide application following safety guidelines to protect plants and the environment. Execute hardscape projects like patio installation, walkway construction, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures. Conduct seasonal tasks such as snow plowing and winter storm cleanup to keep properties safe and accessible year-round. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, power tools, and irrigation systems. Extensive experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, lawn care, and tree trimming. Ability to identify various plants and trees accurately for proper horticultural care. Knowledge of pesticide management practices adhering to safety regulations. Construction experience related to hardscape features like patios or pathways is highly desirable. Familiarity with snow plowing techniques for winter weather conditions. Excellent understanding of land grading, soil preparation, and general landscaping principles.
