Seasonal Grounds Keeping Staff at The Preserve With amenities and facilities across our 3,500 acres, we rely on our grounds team to care for our 18-hold golf course, our trails, our sporting clays range, and our landscaped areas. With so many outdoor areas to explore and enjoy, our grounds team are one of our most vital resources. At The Preserve, our Grounds Team maintains our golf course, landscaping around the course, our clubhouse and other club facilities throughout our property, including parking lots.

What you will be doing:

Note:

This is a seasonal position, not a full-year Plant and maintain ornamental shrubs and trees; Trim and feed shrubs and trees, remove cuttings. Maintain landscape beds around clubhouse and club grounds; Rakes and blows leaves; Prepare soil plant beds and establishes plantings by seed or transplants. Mows greens and fairways by operating walk-behind turf equipment, Rakes bunkers. Prepare and lay sod, aerify and spike greens. Maintains annual and perennial flowers in aesthetic arrangements. Load and unload materials; Empty garbage cans. Repairs and maintains driving range tees. Cleans equipment used in practice area. Dig holes and trenches to maintain or construct irrigation and drainage lines; Install pipe and backfill excavations. Golf Course Superintendent or Director of Grounds Rate of Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00/hr What you bring: Knowledge of proper use of landscaping equipment. Understanding of best practices for grounds and greens.

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or GED. Six months of experience in golf course grounds maintenance or greens keeping.

Licenses and Special Requirements:

Valid driver's license Physical Demands and Work Environment Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. May lift up to 50 pounds. Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position. Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling.
