Job Description

Massage Therapist - Part Time Join our team at the Hilltop Spa at the Preserve Resort, where wellness begins! We are a five-star spa catering to the sporting and luxury lifestyle. Our unique treatments are geared toward adventure seekers and nature lovers where we foster an environment of relaxation and well-being. We are seeking a licensed Massage Therapist who will deliver exceptional spa treatments and provide a personalized and memorable experience for guests. Our Spa team members are professionals with a passion for providing amazing client experiences and possess a high level of expertise in their area of focus. What you will be doing:
Consult with clients to understand their massage needs and areas of focus; guide guests through their spa journey, explaining treatment options and differences, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience. Perform massage treatments according to spa protocols, using appropriate products and adhering to treatment timing. Ensure all tools, equipment, and treatment areas are properly cleaned and sanitized after each use, adhering to hotel and local policies, restock linens, supplies, and other materials as needed throughout the day and after each treatment. Stay updated on the latest trends and techniques in the massage therapy industry. Complete all required reports and paperwork and maintain client records and notes for future reference, ensure strict confidentiality regarding guest information.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Education:
Minimum of 2-4 years of prior spa experience; hotel or guest service experience preferred. Strong English communication skills with the ability to engage with guests and colleagues in a friendly, clear, and professional manner. Ability to perform tasks with precision, attention to detail, and efficiency, even in high-pressure situations. Demonstrated ability to resolve guest issues with calmness, good judgment, and professionalism. An enthusiasm to be an active member of a spa team who work together to provide exceptional spa experiences for our guests. Ability to follow directions; strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Maintain confidentiality of guest and resort information.
Qualifications:
Must be 21+ Must have a current massage therapy license in the state of Rhode Island. Additional massage therapy certifications are a plus. Must be available to work weekends Compensation Flexible, part-time hours This is a commission and tip-based role. There is a base pay of $5.00 per hour, plus commission, plus tips based on the service provided Paid Sick Time Staff discounts
