Turf farm employees needed to assist our crew with doing sod installation and turf farm related work in the New England, and eastern New York areas. Must be able to lift 50lbs or more repeatedly. to join our team! A valid driver's license is a must! We work five days a week until the ground is frozen. If you want steady work and good pay, APPLY NOW! Work Remotely No Responsibilities Assist in sod installation by preparing the ground and laying sod correctly. Utilize hand tools and machinery, including a Toro Dingo mini skid steer and walk behind sodcutter and power rake for soil preparation tasks. You should be able to perform all aspects of sod installation. Keep a clean and neat jobsite. Our customers are hiring us for our attention to detail. Keep neat, clean and well maintained installation equipment. Operate irrigation systems. garden hose and sprinklers, hose end nozzles to water newly installed sod. Follow safety protocols while operating equipment and handling materials. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Maintain a valid driver's license for transportation to job sites. Maintain a reliable vehicle to get yourself to work on time, every day of work. Be able to communicate with customers in a friendly manner. Be able to communicate with your supervisors when work changes occur. Summary As a turf farm employee specializing in sod installation, you will be integral to our installation operations, reporting directly to the site supervisor. Your role involves utilizing core skills in soil prep and sod handling experience to ensure high-quality sod installation. With a focus on mechanical knowledge and proficiency in hand tools and powered implements, you will contribute to the efficient execution of projects. A valid driver's license is required for this position, as you may be responsible for transporting materials and equipment. Qualifications Proficient in the use of hand tools and mechanical equipment Strong knowledge of lawn care and landscape maintenance Experience with grounds keeping and landscaping tasks Familiarity with irrigation systems and lawn maintenance practices Valid driver's license required Ability to operate powered hand tools and other small construction machinery
