Responsibilities Maintain the golf course's turf, fairways, greens, and rough areas through mowing, edging, fertilizing, and watering using specialized landscaping equipment. Operate and perform routine maintenance on groundskeeping tools such as power mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules that promote healthy turf growth while conserving water resources. Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, aerating soil, and pest management to uphold course aesthetics and health. Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of equipment or materials and use hand tools safely for various groundskeeping activities. Apply pesticides or herbicides responsibly following safety protocols to control pests and weeds that threaten course quality. Operate company vehicles for transporting equipment or supplies around the course while adhering to safety standards. Requirements Prior experience or knowledge in golf course groundskeeping, athletic field groundskeeping, or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with irrigation systems, power tools, hand tools, chainsaws, and grounds maintenance equipment is highly desirable. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and operating landscaping machinery safely. Knowledge of pesticide management practices and safety procedures related to horticulture or gardening work. Strong work ethic with an eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of course quality. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while staying active and engaged throughout your shift. Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles is a plus.
