Under the general supervision of the Director of Community Services, performs work involving the use of large and small motorized equipment including tractors, backhoes, trucks, and other motor and hand equipment.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions Statement(s) Mows and trims rights-of-way and lawn areas around POA buildings. Installs and maintains information and road signs. Removes trash along roadsides as directed Safely operates and maintains Community Services equipment (e.g. tractor with attachments, dump truck, and small equipment: maintains gasoline, oil and other fluid levels daily. Insures that equipment cooling systems is working at all times. Cleans equipment daily and reports equipment problems or failures to mechanic immediately. Performs basic preventive maintenance and returns.THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION ARE NOT LIMITED TO THIS DESCRIPTION AND THE EQUIPMENT OPERATOR MAY PERFORM A COMBINATION OF OTHER FUNCTIONS WHEN NEEDED. Job Description Community Services Equipment Operator Requires a knowledge of safe operation and maintenance of tractors, trucks, small engine equipment, and hand tools. Requires performance of routine duties with minimum supervision. Must be able to follow oral and written directions. Must be able to understand safety rules, regulations and practices and to perform duties while working in an entirely safe manner.SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
High school diploma preferred.Experience:
