Who We Are:
Agri-Scape Groundworks is a locally owned and operated grounds maintenance and landscaping company serving NW Iowa and SE South Dakota. We are affiliated with a network of local agricultural facilities within our region and we serve to provide each of them with adequate curb appeal. The locations we serve consist of large-scale dairies, feedlots, and acreages.
Job Summary :
We are eagerly searching for an additional Grounds Crew Leader to serve our locations in SE South Dakota and NW Iowa. In South Dakota, this includes various facilities located in Hudson, Centerville, Beresford, and Hurley. In Iowa, there are sites located in Rock Valley and Granville. Our team actively works to provide adequate curb appeal to each location that is a part of our network. Each member of the Grounds Crew plays a vital role in maintaining the aesthetic and functional aspects of our outdoor spaces. This work often consists of, but is not limited to, many outdoor services such as mowing, weed eating, weed spraying, fertilizing, tree and hedge trimming, landscaping, snow-removal, and the like. The ideal candidate for each position will possess tangible skills in lawn maintenance and/or landscaping, have a basic mechanical aptitude, and be comfortable operating equipment. It is essential the individual is detail oriented and emphasizes teamwork and quality driven results. The Crew Leader must be able to lead by example at each location by ensuring that all required tasks are completed.
Responsibilities/Requirements:
Perform routine lawn maintenance including mowing and weed eating. Conduct tree care tasks including planting, pruning, and removal as necessary. Assist in hardscape projects as needed, such as retaining walls, edging, and rock/mulch beds. Clean gutters on various properties. Remove snow as needed in Winter season with shovel, plow, and/or other equipment. Maintain and clean equipment used for landscaping and groundskeeping tasks to ensure optimal performance. Arrive to work on-time with proper work-attire and ready to complete tasks. Travel safely between various locations and treat vehicles/equipment with care. Must be able to work in season conditions for various periods of time. Must be able to lift at least 60 pounds. Must have a clean driving record. Tasks specific to
Crew Leader:
Supervise crew members to ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Lead laborer's by example and set a high standard when working together. Determine efficient methods of completing tasks. Ensure all tasks are completed at each location before leaving. Report to and communicate with supervisor on daily operations. Primary driver of pickup truck with landscape utility trailer.
Skills:
Proficient in landscape maintenance and/or hardscape techniques and practices. Experience in supervising and leading teams effectively. Familiarity with lawn care treatments including fertilization, weed treatment, and seeding. Comfortability in operating heavy equipment as necessary. Basic construction skills relevant to outdoor projects. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and leadership. A passion for maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces that enhance the environment and positively reflects the facility, its services, and its team members.

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
