Tree Trimmer/Groundsperson

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Tree Trimmer/Groundsperson, where you will play a vital role in maintaining healthy, beautiful landscapes through expert tree care and landscape maintenance. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, utilizing your growing experience in horticulture and tree trimming to ensure safety, aesthetics, and environmental health. You will assist with tree trimming, pruning, and removal, while supporting ground operations that keep our landscapes thriving. Your skills in rigging, bucket operation, and landscape maintenance will contribute to creating safe and visually appealing outdoor spaces. Duties Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal using proper techniques to promote tree health and safety. Operate bucket trucks and other equipment safely for elevated work on trees or landscape features. Assist with rigging tasks to securely lift and move heavy limbs or equipment. Support lawn care and landscape maintenance activities to enhance overall site appearance. Maintain safety standards by inspecting equipment, tools, and work sites regularly. Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and planning landscape projects when required. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient project completion while adhering to safety protocols. Qualifications Growing experience in tree care, landscaping, or horticulture preferred; a strong interest in developing expertise in these areas is essential. Knowledge of tree trimming techniques, landscape maintenance practices, and general lawn care. Ability to operate bucket trucks and other landscaping equipment safely. Familiarity with rigging procedures for lifting heavy limbs or materials. Basic understanding of GIS applications related to landscape planning is a plus. Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in arboriculture and landscaping.
