Crew Member - Landscape

Working as a Crew Member includes a variety of tasks and job duties. Work may include installing new landscape areas or maintaining existing landscapes. We are always willing to train a skill that you can learn and carry into your working career. If you like working outdoors, pleasing customers, and working in different ways throughout the week, then this may be the job for you. Creating new landscapes includes responsibilities such as loading and unloading tools, equipment, supplies, and materials. Also, preparing landscape areas includes removing unwanted vegetation, weeds, grass, and soil debris. Afterwards, landscape beds are built by moving stockpiles of landscape bed mix and installing drainage and borders to the beds. Trees and shrubs are set in place and planted into the ground. Moving and spreading rock and/or mulch is placed to cover bed areas. Working with low voltage night lighting and irrigation is a common part of a crew members job responsibilities. Landscape maintenance responsibilities include trimming and pruning existing shrubs, cleaning and cultivating ground space around the the plants, applying products and fertilizers, and adjusting irrigation systems. Mowing, edging, and trimming turf areas may be a regular job responsibility of working on a landscape maintenance crew.
