Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Maintenance Landscape Assistant for the summer months. As a Maintenance Landscape Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced maintenance crew to ensure the upkeep and beautification of various outdoor spaces, including residential and commercial properties. Your primary responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance tasks, assisting with landscape installations, and providing general support to the maintenance team.MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the maintenance of landscapes, gardens, lawns, and outdoor spaces. Perform routine tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding to maintain the appearance and health of plants, shrubs, and trees. Help with the installation of new landscape features, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and laying sod or seed. Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner. Clean and maintain landscaped areas by removing debris, leaves, and other materials as necessary. Assist in the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides under the guidance of experienced staff. Assist in the repair and maintenance of irrigation systems, including adjusting sprinkler heads and repairing leaks. Provide general support to the maintenance team, including loading and unloading equipment, transporting materials, and organizing work areas. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.Other Significant Requirements:
Previous experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance is preferred but not required. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately. Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the work site.Other Requirements:
