Job Description

Golf Course Maintenance Golf course maintenance in accordance with the approved maintenance standards as instructed by the Assistant GC Supt and Golf Course Superintendent while following the best management practices of the golf course industry by performing the following duties. Boot Ranch is looking for individuals who like working outside with their hands and can embrace a team atmosphere to provide the best possible product for the membership and their guests. No previous experience is needed. On-site training will be provided. The job requires working with your hands and working outdoors in the different elements.
  • Under the supervision of the assistant superintendent or foreman performs routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance; performs skilled grounds construction and maintenance work; operate small hand-powered equipment; and occasionally performs work involving large equipment such as tractors, loaders, and reel type mowers.
  • Operates walk behind mowers, string trimmers, flymowers, in trimming around trees, bunker slopes, banks and hillsides, lake and stream corridors, and edges cart paths.
  • Bunker maintenance includes but is not limited to raking, edging, fly mowing, weed control, and storm repair.
  • Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment daily, reports equipment problems or failure to the equipment manager immediately.
  • Helps in project work, such as grading and preparing soil base; laying sod; hydro-mulching, rock work, etc.
  • Operates greens and tee mowers.
  • May occasionally operate fairway mowers, rough mowers, approach mowers.
  • May occasionally operate any other equipment as required.
