Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance, health, and overall condition of our outdoor landscapes and grounds. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with landscape maintenance, plant care, irrigation systems, and general landscaping practices. This is an active, outdoor position requiring attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Maintain and enhance landscaped areas, including softscape plantings, garden beds, trees, and other outdoor features. Plant, prune, trim, weed, mulch, and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and other plant materials. Monitor and troubleshoot irrigation systems to ensure proper watering and plant health. Perform general landscape maintenance using hand tools and equipment, including digging, planting, edging, pruning, and weeding. Assist with hardscape and landscape improvement projects as needed. Perform tree care activities, including pruning, planting, and removal when appropriate. Identify and address basic landscape, irrigation, and plant health issues. Safely operate and properly maintain hand tools, landscaping equipment, and related tools. Work collaboratively with team members to complete projects efficiently, safely, and to established quality standards. Maintain clean, organized, and well-kept work areas. Properly clean, maintain, and store tools and equipment after use. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a professional appearance and work environment. Qualifications & Requirements Previous experience in landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, horticulture, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of plant care, softscape maintenance, and irrigation systems. Experience with hardscaping and landscape improvement projects. Ability to safely and effectively operate hand tools and landscaping equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and troubleshoot basic equipment and irrigation issues. Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining attractive, well-kept outdoor spaces. Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team. Dependable, responsible, and willing to take initiative. Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, digging, bending, standing, walking, and working outdoors for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and safely perform the physical requirements of the position. Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.
