AUX 3PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Grounds Crew is responsible for the day-to-day care and maintenance of the district grounds, ensure that all facilities are safe, neat, and attractive. All employees of Spring ISD are expected to act with integrity, support organizational goals, communicate in a clear and respectful manner, championing the needs of our students and drive continuous improvement.QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
High school diploma or GED Valid Texas driver's licensePreferred:
At least one year of experience in lawn, gardening and landscape maintenanceSPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Ability to operate power equipment Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Effective communication and interpersonal skillsMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing. Operate tools, equipment, and machinery according to prescribed safety procedures. Follow established procedures for locking, checking, and safeguarding equipment and facilities. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Mow and detail of all district grounds as indicated or according to work orders. Care for grass, trees, shrubs, and flowers by planting, watering, pruning, fertilizing, mulching, caring for beds, and controlling weeds. Collect and dispose of leaves, dirt, rubbish, and refuse from district facilities. Establish and maintain care and watering schedules, including spraying, fertilizing, and pruning. Install, test, adjust, and repair sprinkler systems as needed. Keep vehicles supplied with tools and materials. Move equipment from facility to facility. Erect and maintain playground equipment. Follow all safety regulations. Perform all other duties as assigned.MENTAL DEMANDS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
