Duties Assist with landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to keep outdoor areas pristine. Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes to perform planting, soil preparation, and general upkeep. Use power tools and equipment like trimmers, blowers, and small excavators for landscaping tasks. Support installation of hardscape features such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures. Perform lawn care activities including fertilizing, aerating, overseeding, and snow plowing during winter months. Conduct tree care activities like trimming and pruning to promote healthy growth and safety. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and making necessary repairs. Support construction projects involving landscape installation or renovation under supervision. Assist with gardening tasks such as planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and maintaining horticultural standards. Ensure safety protocols are followed during all operations to promote a secure work environment. Experience Prior experience in landscaping or outdoor maintenance is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn! Basic mechanical knowledge helpful for operating equipment safely and effectively. Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration. Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques including pruning, planting, irrigation systems, and snow plowing. Experience working with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping projects. Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors for extended periods while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality work.
