Essential Job Duties Mows, trims and aerates parks grounds. Prepares and maintains ballfields for use in practice or regular play. Constructs new equipment and facilities. Maintains and installs irrigation systems. Applies fertilizers and pesticides depending on need. Prepares swimming pools for use during summer. Maintains equipment. Maintains records of work performed and submits reports to supervisor. Works overtime when needed. Performs related duties as required. Physical and Environmental Conditions Ability to sit on equipment for extended periods of time. Employee will be exposed to both chemical and environmental hazards while measuring or applying pesticides or fertilizers. Ability to work in seasonal Required Qualifications Ability to effectively communicate with employees in order to receive work orders or instructions for any project. Ability to read operator's manuals and work orders. Skill in the operation of equipment such as tractors, mowers, trimmers, dump trucks, backhoes and other concrete and carpentry tools. High school diploma or equivalent plus one to three years of experience.
