This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, applying your skills in landscape maintenance, lawn care, and horticulture to create an inviting and well-manicured environment for players and visitors alike. As a Greens Keeper, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the course's greens, fairways, and surrounding landscapes are healthy, attractive, and expertly maintained. Duties Mow, trim, and edge greens, fairways, tees, and roughs using hand tools and power tools to achieve optimal playing conditions Maintain and operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules that promote healthy turf growth Operate specialized turf equipment meant for a golf course. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to enhance course aesthetics Conduct regular inspections of the course's turf health and address issues such as pests or disease with appropriate horticultural practices Use hand tools and power tools safely for routine maintenance tasks such as aeration, dethatching, and soil conditioning Assist with general gardening activities to support the overall landscape design and upkeep of the course environment Support land landscaping projects by preparing soil beds, planting new greenery, or removing debris to keep the course looking its best Experience Prior experience in landscape maintenance or turf management is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided for motivated candidates Knowledge of irrigation systems, lawn care techniques, and landscaping practices is highly desirable Familiarity with hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes as well as power tools including trimmers and aerators A background in horticulture or gardening will be advantageous in understanding plant health and soil management Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards maintaining high standards of course quality Join us to help craft an exceptional golfing experience through dedicated landscape care!
