GED Non-CDL Class C Full Job Description Duties:
A Golf Course Worker I performs hands-on, outdoor labor to maintain and care for the Pasadena Municipal Golf Club. The role focuses on keeping the course in good condition through mowing, irrigation, landscaping, and general upkeep. Operates tractor to till, cultivate, grade new turf areas, mow rough and fairway areas at designated cut, exercising care not to injure turf or shrubs. Operates hand or power mower to cut turf on green and tee areas. Ability to drive various utility vehicles. Connects hose and sprinkler systems at designated points on course to irrigate turf. Digs and rakes ground to prepare new greens, grades and cleans traps, and repairs flowerbeds. Plants, trims, and sprays trees and shrubs. Reports maintenance needs to the Superintendent on a timely basis. Works the assigned schedule and complies with the City's timekeeping and attendance policy. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One to three months related experience and/or training. Valid Class C driver's license with good driving record. The City of Pasadena offers very generous benefits to all full-time employees .

. The City offers college tuition reimbursement of up to $3,500 per year. As an employee, you will contribute a portion of your salary each pay-period towards your retirement and the City will match your contribution by 200% . Example, if you contribute $100, the City will contribute $200. Civilian employees accumulate vacation at the following rates: Less than 6 years of service
  • two weeks of vacation per year. From 6 to less than 11 years of service
  • three weeks of vacation per year. From 11 to less than 21 years of service
  • four weeks of vacation per year. From 21 to less than 26 years of service
  • five weeks of vacation per year. From 26 years of service and up
  • six weeks of vacation per year.
