In this role, you will assist in creating, maintaining, and enhancing beautiful landscapes that inspire and delight. From planting to hardscape installation, your hands-on work will directly contribute to transforming outdoor environments into vibrant, functional spaces. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your landscaping expertise while working outdoors in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities Assist with landscape installation projects, including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing sod or seed. Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and power tools to perform various landscaping tasks efficiently. Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to ensure healthy and attractive turf. Support landscape maintenance activities like irrigation system installation and repair, tree care including trimming and pruning, and snow plowing during winter months. Use equipment such as excavators and other machinery for site preparation or hardscape features like patios or walkways. Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks to keep outdoor areas pristine and safe for visitors or clients. Follow safety protocols diligently while handling tools and machinery to ensure a secure work environment. Qualifications Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping. Prior experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape projects is a plus. Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming and pruning techniques. Ability to operate equipment such as excavators or irrigation systems is advantageous. Strong work ethic with the willingness to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward learning new skills in horticulture, snow plowing, or landscape construction.
