This is an ongoing part-time position with a seasonal schedule. During our active landscaping season (spring, summer, and fall), team members must be available to work at least two full weekdays per week (Monday-Friday). Regular hours typically continue through fall cleanup, which may extend into late November or even December depending on the weather. Winter hours are not guaranteed and may be very limited, with work depending largely on snowfall and occasional seasonal needs. We are looking for team members who are interested in returning when regular landscape work resumes in the spring. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in detailed work, and is interested in developing skills in plant care, pruning, and landscape aesthetics. What You'll Do Prune and shape shrubs with attention to plant health and appearance Learn to identify common shrubs and ornamental plants in our region Apply proper pruning techniques based on plant type, growth patterns, and season Recognize signs of plant stress, disease, or watering issues and report them Perform additional shrub and landscape tasks as needed (such as plant removal, plant install, and seasonal cleanup) Keep job sites clean and professional Communicate respectfully with customers when needed Team Work We work in small crews (typically 2-3 people). Each team member may have a specialty. When working in your focus area, you'll help guide the task and support your teammates to complete the work efficiently. All team members also assist with general landscape work such as mowing, weeding, seasonal cleanup, and seasonal snow removal. Driving & Equipment Drive a company pickup (with trailer) to job sites Operate hand pruners, hedge trimmers, and related equipment safely Help maintain vehicles and equipment Training is available for towing and advanced pruning techniques if needed. Schedule Ongoing part-time position with seasonal hours At least 2 full weekdays per week required during the spring, summer, and fall landscaping season Full-day shifts (typically 8 hours) Workdays are Monday-Friday Regular hours typically continue through fall cleanup, often into late November or December Winter hours are not guaranteed and may depend on snowfall and other seasonal work Regular landscape work resumes in the spring Pay & Growth Starting pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour Raises based on reliability, performance, and training progress Paid on-the-job training Opportunities to grow into leadership roles over time Requirements Valid driver's license Comfortable using a smartphone for scheduling and communication Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Communicate clearly with team members and customers Preferred (not required): Landscaping, pruning, or shrub care experience Experience driving a pickup with a trailer Basic plant identification or pruning knowledge Applicants should be able to meet standard hiring requirements (including driving record and background criteria).
