Newport News, Virginia Hiring Range $16.80 - $21.83/Hourly Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs. Overview Ensuring grounds are maintained to standard as assigned at Riverside Health System standards. Job assignments will include but not limited to: landscape installation, hand watering, mulching, hedge trimming, trash removal, leaf removal, weed removal both by hand and chemically, push mowing when needed, snow removal, flower plantings in beds, containers, and baskets. Must be knowledgeable of plant names and maintenance characteristics for the Mid-Atlantic region. What you will do Assists co-workers with the care of their customers; addresses customer's needs regardless of assignment. Assists others to complete tasks when necessary. Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a work environment that reflects performance improvement and customer service program in accordance with our mission statement. Demonstrates ability to prioritize and accomplish assignments with accuracy and timeliness. Responsible for the establishment and maintenance of a work environment that reflects performance excellence. Conscientiously observes policies and procedures to ensure the safety of self, co-workers, and visitors. Follows guidelines for proper body mechanics, hazardous material handling and universal precautions to avoid personal accidents and injuries. Maintains a safe work area and wears all personal protective equipment; i.e., ear plugs, glasses, safety vests, boots, gloves and rain gear. Executes serviceswork plans to achieve the highest quality. Revises the daily service plan as appropriate to ensure the highest quality. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred) Experience 1 year Landscaping experience in a professional environment (Required) Licenses and Certifications Certified Pesticide Applicator - Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Registered Spray Technician within 1 Year (Preferred) Valid Drivers License (Required) To learn more about being a team member with Riverside Health System visit us at https://www.riversideonline.com/careers .
