We're locally owned, woman-owned, and known for doing detailed work on properties our clients care about. We're hiring a Maintenance Crew Member to join our field team. This role is focused on recurring lawn and landscape maintenance — mowing, edging, pruning, bed care, and mulching — on a regular route of residential and commercial properties. This is hands-on, physically active outdoor work. It's a good fit for someone who takes pride in a sharp edge line and a clean property, and who wants to build a long-term trade career rather than just pick up a season of work. What You'll Do Mowing and turf Mow using walk-behind, push, and zero-turn mowers, following consistent patterns and mowing heights Trim around trees, beds, fences, posts, and structures without scarring bark or damaging plants Edge sidewalks, driveways, curbs, bed lines, and hardscape borders for a clean, defined finish Adjust approach for wet conditions, slopes, and irrigation heads Pruning and bed care Prune shrubs, ornamentals, and perennials as directed by your crew lead, using proper technique for the plant and season Weed and clean out planting beds, remove spent growth, and keep bed lines crisp Install mulch to specified depth, keeping it off trunks, siding, and hardscape Seasonal work including spring and fall cleanups, leaf removal, and cutbacks Site finish and cleanup Blow off all hardscape, walkways, driveways, and entries before leaving — no clippings, no debris Bag or haul away debris per the job's scope Do a final walk of every property before leaving to catch anything missed Equipment, vehicles, and materials Load, secure, and unload equipment and materials safely, including trailer loading and strapping Load, move, and place mulch, soil, and stone (routine lifting up to 50 lbs, occasionally more with help) Perform daily equipment checks — fuel, oil, blades, guards, tires — and report issues immediately rather than working around them Keep trucks, trailers, and equipment clean and organized at the end of each day On the property Stay on schedule across multiple properties per day without cutting corners on quality Document work with before/after photos in CompanyCam Track your time and job status in Jobber Follow client-specific instructions (gate latches, pet protocols, parking, no-touch areas) Represent the company well: company shirt on at all times, professional and courteous with clients and neighbors, and follow our restroom-use policy on every property Follow all safety standards, including required PPE Occasionally Support install crews on landscape and hardscape projects when maintenance schedules allow Physical Requirements You should be able to: Work outdoors year-round in heat, humidity, cold, and light rain Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift throughout an 8-hour workday Lift and carry up to 50 lbs routinely Operate handheld equipment with sustained vibration and noise Work around insects, pollen, poison ivy, and uneven terrain What We're Looking For Required Reliable — shows up on time, every scheduled day Attention to detail; you notice the missed strip, the crooked edge, the clippings on the walkway Physically able to perform the work described above Valid driver's license and a clean driving record Comfortable using a smartphone for schedules, time tracking, and job photos (we'll train you on Jobber and CompanyCam) Team-oriented, with respectful, professional communication Legally authorized to work in the United States Clean background record Preferred Previous landscaping, lawn care, grounds, agricultural, or construction experience Experience operating commercial mowers and handheld equipment Plant knowledge or horticultural training Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay based on experience, with consistent hours through the season On-the-job training and paid skill development Company-sponsored certifications and industry courses Professional development assistance Retirement plan A clear path forward: crew member → senior crew member → crew lead, with pay increases tied to demonstrated skill Performance bonuses Why Work Here A stable, long-standing local company with steady work Clear expectations and structured workdays — you'll know what's expected and how you're measured A team that cares about craftsmanship, not just getting through the route Real investment in your training and advancement If you're reliable, hardworking, and take pride in leaving a property better than you found it, we'd like to hear from you.
