Job Description

The Solomon Organization has opportunities for experienced Part-Time groundskeeper/porter to join our team at Honeywood Apartments in Roanoke, VA. Previous experience in a similar role preferred. Dependability and ability to clean thoroughly is essential.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition Maintains working condition of cleaning equipment, such as cleaning equipment, changing filters, etc. Performs routine maintenance tasks such as removing trash, picking up debris Notifies service department of burned out light bulbs, broken globes, etc. Weekly cleaning of all common areas and office space. Other duties as assigned by supervisor
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work 25 hours per week Minimum of 1 year hands on experience in cleaning, maintenance, or other related field is recommended Ability to handle physical workload Strong attention to detail Strong organization skills

EXPECTATIONS
Attendance is an imperative job function as is working in a team oriented environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS IN ADDITION TO THOSE LISTED ABOVE
Ability to lift 50+ lbs. Position requires bending, lifting, kneeling, twisting, and performing installations at awkward angles. Work environment may include loud noises, dust, dirt, and minor hazards.
