Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic grounds maintenance team as a Grounds Maintenance Specialist, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the year-round beauty, safety, and functionality of our outdoor spaces. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work across diverse landscapes, including athletic fields, golf courses, and landscaped grounds. You will be responsible for maintaining pristine turf, managing irrigation systems, operating landscaping equipment, and performing general landscape upkeep. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create inviting environments that enhance community enjoyment and safety. Duties Perform routine landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to keep grounds healthy and attractive Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as lawnmowers, chainsaws, power tools, and irrigation systems safely and efficiently Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues to prevent water waste or damage Conduct athletic field groundskeeping tasks to ensure safe playing surfaces for sports activities Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to control pests and promote healthy plant growth Perform manual handling tasks such as planting, mulching, aerating soil, and heavy lifting of materials or equipment Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas by removing debris, leaves, and trash regularly Experience Prior experience in landscape maintenance, groundskeeping, or golf course groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific equipment use Knowledge of irrigation systems, pesticide management, and horticulture practices is highly desirable Ability to operate landscaping power tools safely with a focus on power tool safety standards Comfortable performing manual labor including heavy lifting and using hand tools for extended periods Strong understanding of lawn care techniques, gardening practices, and general landscaping principles Valid driver's license with experience operating company vehicles or similar equipment is a plus This role offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors year-round in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly contribute to the beauty and safety of our community spaces.
