Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic groundskeeping team as a Lawn Maintenance Specialist and play a vital role in creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work outdoors, utilizing a variety of landscaping and grounds maintenance skills to ensure pristine lawns, gardens, and landscapes. Duties Operate lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools to maintain healthy, attractive lawns and gardens Perform landscape maintenance tasks including planting, pruning, trimming trees and shrubs, and installing hardscape features Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues for optimal plant health Identify various plants, trees, and pests to support effective plant care and pest management strategies Conduct snow plowing during winter months to keep outdoor areas accessible and safe Follow safety protocols diligently while handling equipment like excavators, hedge trimmers, and other grounds maintenance machinery Maintain grounds by performing routine inspections, weed control, fertilization, and soil preparation Qualifications Demonstrated outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance or landscaping projects Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment, power tools, and irrigation systems Strong understanding of horticulture principles, plant identification, and plant care techniques Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators or snow plows is a plus Knowledge of pesticide management practices for safe application and environmental compliance Experience with hardscape installation including pathways, patios, or retaining walls is desirable Commitment to safety protocol adherence and proper use of hand tools and ground maintenance equipment This position offers an engaging opportunity for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in landscape maintenance while contributing to vibrant outdoor spaces.
