Job Description

Yard Crew Spotter - Part-Time to Full-Time Harbor Town Marine is looking for dependable team members to assist with our Rack & Stack operations and daily yard activities. This position plays a critical role in safely moving boats throughout our facility. As a spotter, you'll work directly alongside our forklift and travel lift operators, helping guide boats safely through the yard, monitoring clearances, communicating with customers, and ensuring every move is completed safely and efficiently.
What You'll Be Doing:
Directing forklift and travel lift operators during boat movements Monitoring clearances around boats, buildings, equipment, and vehicles Using hand signals and radio communication to safely guide equipment operators Assisting customers with launching and retrieving boats Fueling boats and assisting with pump-outs Organizing the yard and storage areas Assisting with cleaning, maintenance, and improvement projects Helping prepare boats for storage and winterization Supporting all aspects of marina operations as needed
What We're Looking For:
Strong attention to detail Good communication skills Ability to think ahead and identify potential hazards Team-oriented attitude Reliable and dependable work ethic Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to stay focused and maintain awareness of surroundings
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly Must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work outdoors for extended periods Must be able to safely identify hand signals, boat positioning, and potential hazards Must be able to communicate effectively with team members in a busy work environment No boating experience is required, but experience around equipment, construction, landscaping, farming, trucking, or other hands-on outdoor work is a plus. This is not a stand-around position. We're looking for someone who wants to stay busy, work as part of a team, and take pride in helping move and care for customers' boats safely.
Pay:
$15.00 - $21.00 per hour
