Full Job Description Job Summary:
This position performs chemical spraying to support weed, disease, and pest control to provide quality grown plants to our customers.Job Responsibilities:
- Mix chemicals in a precise and safe manner
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, particularly in chemical mixing areas
- Operate spray equipment including carts, tractors, spray pumps, and spray backpacks
- Complete spray paperwork
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs (herbicide sack weight)
- Prior nursery and/or spray experience is preferred
- Must be able to read and understand instructions and safety information on SDS sheets for the chemicals being used.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods outdoors and in variable weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal directions.
