Duties Safely operate company vehicles, power tools, farm machinery, and hand tools to perform pesticide applications and sprinkler system installations. Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers following all safety protocols and pesticide management regulations to control pests and promote healthy landscapes. Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain sprinkler systems to ensure optimal irrigation coverage for lawns and landscaped areas. Conduct site assessments to determine pest issues or irrigation needs; develop tailored solutions based on integrated pest management principles. Handle chemical agents responsibly by following chemical handling procedures, including proper storage, mixing, application techniques, and disposal. Perform ladder use and ladder safety procedures to access hard-to-reach areas during system installations or pest control treatments. Communicate effectively with clients to explain services performed, provide maintenance tips, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Follow all safety protocols related to confined space entry safety procedures and respiratory protection when handling chemicals or working in restricted areas. Requirements Proven outdoor work experience in landscaping, lawn care, agriculture, or pest control environments. Mechanical knowledge of farm machinery, power tools, hand tools, and sprinkler systems is highly desirable. Knowledge of pesticide application procedures including pest control chemical handling and pesticide management regulations. Familiarity with entomology principles related to pest identification and integrated pest management strategies. Ability to operate company vehicles responsibly; a valid driver's license is required. Strong understanding of ladder safety procedures and confined space entry safety procedures. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to client communication. Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting heavy equipment, climbing ladders, digging with hand tools, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
