lawnCARE solutions, llc is an established, locally owned landscape maintenance company serving commercial properties and homeowners associations throughout Highlands Ranch and surrounding communities. We are looking for a dependable, motivated Lawn Care Technician to join our team. This is a year-round position , with lawn and landscape services during the growing season and snow removal operations during the winter. Candidates with experience or an interest in plant health care and arboriculture are encouraged to apply. This position provides the opportunity to work directly with an ISA Certified Arborist and gain additional hands-on experience in tree and plant care. Position Overview The Lawn Care Technician is responsible for turf and landscape applications, weed management, plant health care, and other landscape maintenance services at commercial and HOA properties. This position requires the ability to safely and accurately apply fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and other landscape products in accordance with product labels and applicable regulations.
Responsibilities Include:
Apply liquid and granular products to turf, native grass areas, shrubs, trees, ornamental plants, landscape beds, rock and mulch beds, and other designated areas. Perform fertilizer, herbicide, fungicide, and insecticide applications according to schedules, product labels, and safety requirements. Maintain landscaped areas through chemical weed control and manual weed removal. Identify and diagnose turf and plant issues related to weeds, insects, disease, nutrient deficiencies, environmental stress, and other abnormalities. Accurately measure, mix, and apply liquid and granular products at appropriate application rates. Calibrate and maintain backpack sprayers, spreaders, and other application equipment. Perform deep-core aeration, turf seeding, and native grass seeding. Assist with Plant Health Care services, including tree, shrub, and perennial care programs. Perform seasonal landscape maintenance, including property cleanups and shrub or tree pruning as needed. Maintain accurate and safe application practices in accordance with product labels and company procedures. Wear company uniform and all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Comply with Colorado Department of Agriculture, OSHA, and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements related to pesticide handling, application, safety, and licensing. Participate in snow removal operations during the winter season. General Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must be legally authorized to work in Colorado. Experience with backpack sprayers, spreaders, calibration equipment, chemical application rates, and product mixing is preferred. Must have basic math skills and be comfortable calculating measurements, application rates, and mixing quantities for liquid and granular products. Must be physically capable of carrying a 25-50 lb. backpack sprayer for extended periods , including 4+ hours when completing spot-spray applications. Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding landscape work. Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Arboriculture or Plant Health Care experience is preferred but not required. Pay:
$26.00 - $28.00 per hour
