Full Job Description Company Overview Fertilization Applicator Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Job description: E.A. Quinn Landscape Contracting Inc., a premiere landscape contracting firm, specializing in landscape care, beautification and management located in Glastonbury, CT, is seeking to expand our team and retain a licensed Fertilization Applicator / Technician. The Technician will be responsible for the day to day applications, while effectively communicating to both the customer base and the Fertilization Manager.Functions:
- Perform day to day duties under the direction of the Fertilization Supervisor
- Maintain on-going customer satisfaction and positive interaction with our customers
- Safely mix and load the proper fertilizer each day in the truck as well as mix spray solutions
- Be able to safely operate and well versed in the operation of a Z-Spray spreader/sprayer
- Work as a team player in a positive social work environment
- Complete and submit paperwork on a daily basis to the fertilization manager
Responsibilities:
- Perform lawn care applications to our existing clients turf areas
- Diagnose lawn diseases and issues and communicate such to customer
- Implement recommended treatments to lawn area
- Maintain an organized truck, route and overall work environment
- Maintain accurate records (log) of all applications you perform
- Participate in weekly safety meetings
- Must have or ability to obtain and OSHA 10 certification Required Knowledge /
Skills:
- Valid CT operator's license to apply fertilizers / chemicals
- Valid CT driver's license with clean driving record
- Be able to pass a drug test
- Customer service skills and desire to expand the customer base by ongoing solicitation
- Some mechanical ability to make repairs in the field if necessary
- Have excellent communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions (i.e. rain, sun, wind etc.)
- Work a typical work day from 6:30am-4:30pm (seasonal) E.
