Overview Join our dynamic team as a Trail Layer and Kennel Maintenance Specialist, where your energy and animal care skills will make a meaningful impact! in this vital role, you will be helping train law enforcement bloodhounds by laying training rails for them. Additionally, you will oversee kennel upkeep, providing pet care and handling to support our animals' well being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine outdoor work with animal handling, all while contributing to a safe environment. Paid training is provided to ensure your success in this rewarding role.
Duties:
Laying defined trails for bloodhounds to learn scent trailing and discrimination. Cleaning, disinfecting, and organizing animal living spaces to promote health and comfort. Handle dogs with care using proper techniques; assist in training or socialization activities as needed. Providing basic animal care, including feeding, grooming, administering medications, and observing health conditions. Perform lifting when necessary to move supplies or equipment related to trail work or kennel maintenance.
Skills and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. One year of experience in similar position. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, running short distances, walking long distances, and outdoor labor in various weather conditions. Interact with the public and team members alike. Willingness to learn is essential. This role offers an unique blend of outdoor adventure and animal care - perfect for individuals eager to make a difference! Must be able to work as part of a team. Must follow safety policy. Must have a valid driver's license for required travels. Must be willing to work flexible hours and workdays. Weekends required. Employer will conduct background check and drug screening.

Full Time Salary:
