We are dedicated to enhancing outdoor spaces through professional, reliable service and sustainable practices. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated Spray Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying fertilizer, weed control, and pest management treatments to commercial properties. The ideal candidate is a reliable problem solver who understands Florida's unique turf and plant varieties, respects chemical safety protocols, and takes pride in maintaining healthy, beautiful landscapes.
Key Responsibilities Treatment Application:
Safely mix, handle, and apply fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides to turf and ornamental plants according to label instructions and state regulations.
Property Diagnostics:
Inspect commercial properties to identify weeds, pests, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies, and implement targeted treatment solutions.
Equipment Operation:
Safely operate and maintain a specialized spray truck and transport equipment using a 16-foot trailer.
Crew & Site Coordination:
Work efficiently within a structured property management routing system, maintaining precise, audit-ready chemical application logs.
Safety & Compliance:
Strictly adhere to company heat safety guardrails, environmental regulations, and best management practices to protect yourself, the public, and local waterways.
Job Requirements Experience:
1-2 years of dedicated lawn treatment or chemical application experience.
Horticultural Knowledge:
Strong working knowledge of Florida turfgrasses (St. Augustine, Zoysia, Bahia) and common ornamental plants/pests.
Certifications:
Green Industries Best Management Practices (GI-BMP) certification is highly preferred, or the ability to obtain it shortly after hire.
Driving Record:
Clean and valid driver's license with the ability to safely navigate routes and tow a 16' trailer.
Attributes:
Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills who can work independently without constant supervision.
Bonus Skills:
Mechanical inclination (ability to perform basic troubleshooting/maintenance on spray pumps, nozzles, and small engines) is a major plus. $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
