Job Description

Lead Lawn Technician
  • Job Description The Lead Lawn Technician is responsible for overseeing lawn care operations and performing advanced turf management services for commercial and residential properties.
This position leads lawn technicians in the field, ensures quality workmanship, monitors turf health, and provides excellent customer service while maintaining compliance with all safety and application regulations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise lawn technicians and field crew members.
  • You Must have 2 plus years experience towing larger truck & trailer (2500 series with 24ft enclosed trailer)
  • Apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, and other lawn care products according to label instructions and company standards.
  • Diagnose and identify turf issues including weeds, insects, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and irrigation-related stress.
  • Develop and implement treatment recommendations to improve turf quality and appearance.
  • Monitor and inspect properties regularly to ensure lawn health and identify problem areas.
  • Train and mentor lawn technicians on application procedures, equipment operation, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Operate and maintain spray equipment, spreaders, ride-on application equipment, and related tools safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all applications comply with state and federal regulations regarding chemical handling and environmental safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of applications, inspections, materials used, and completed work orders.
  • Coordinate daily schedules, routing, materials, and equipment needs for lawn care operations.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, property managers, and supervisors regarding turf conditions and recommended services.
  • Inspect irrigation systems and report issues that may impact turf performance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service vehicle and equipment.
  • Assist with enhancement recommendations and additional service opportunities when appropriate.
  • Ensure all work is completed according to company standards and client expectations. Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of lawn care or turf management experience preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or crew leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of turfgrass management, weed identification, insect control, and disease diagnosis.
  • Florida pesticide and fertilizer licenses preferred or ability to obtain.
  • Experience with commercial HOA and large property maintenance preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, standing, and equipment operation.
  • Ability to safely handle lawn care chemicals and application equipment. Work Environment
  • Full-time outdoor position with seasonal overtime as needed.
  • Work performed on commercial and residential properties. Compensation & Benefits

Pay:
$24.00
