Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, including random drug screening. Able to safely drive a company vehicle between service stops. Able to work independently, follow procedures, and communicate professionally with customers. Reliable, self-motivated, safety-minded, and willing to learn. Physical & Work Conditions This is an outdoor, route-based Lawn Care Technician / Lawn Spray Technician position.
Candidates must be able to:
Work year-round in Florida weather, including heat, humidity, rain, and seasonal conditions. Lift, carry, load, and maneuver up to 50 lbs. Walk, stand, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, push, and pull throughout an 8-10 hour field route . Walk across lawns, slopes, wet ground, uneven terrain, and landscaped areas. Operate spreaders, spray hoses, backpack sprayers, and other lawn application equipment. Wear required PPE and safely handle fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and related products. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform essential job functions. Preferred Experience Experience is preferred but not required. We provide paid training for the right person.
Helpful experience includes:
Lawn Care Technician, Lawn Spray Technician, Lawn Applicator, Fertilization Technician, Weed Control Technician, L&O Technician, Pest Control Technician, Route Technician, Field Service Technician, or Landscape Technician. Knowledge of Florida turf types such as St. Augustine, Bermuda, and Zoysia . Experience with fertilizer, herbicide, insecticide, fungicide, or pesticide applications. Familiarity with weeds, turf insects, lawn disease, irrigation stress, or ornamental plant health. Customer service or route-based field service experience. Florida BMP certificate, FDACS experience, or PestPac experience is a plus. Compensation $18/hour during training After training, compensation transitions to 15% commission on production Paid training and certification support provided
