In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty, health, and safety of outdoor landscapes by performing a variety of lawn care and landscaping tasks. Your expertise will help create inviting, well-manicured outdoor spaces that enhance the environment and meet client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilize a range of tools and equipment, and develop your skills in landscape maintenance. Responsibilities Operate lawn care equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools to maintain lawns, gardens, and hardscape features. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, mulching, and fertilizing to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal. Manage irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to promote optimal water distribution. Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and pests to support proper horticultural practices and plant health management. Apply pesticides and herbicides following safety protocols to control pests while safeguarding the environment. Conduct groundskeeping activities such as snow plowing during winter months and maintaining pathways or hardscape features. Adhere strictly to safety procedures when operating machinery or handling chemicals to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Experience Prior outdoor work experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping is highly preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment operation and maintenance is essential. Familiarity with landscape installation techniques including hardscape construction is a plus. Knowledge of irrigation systems, plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management enhances your effectiveness in this role. Experience with tree trimming, gardening practices, snow plowing, and groundskeeping equipment operation will set you apart.
