Minimum Qualifications Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Preferred Qualifications Position Summary This Research Technician position works as part of a dynamic team on the genetics of grasses. In addition to laboratory research, the post-holder will assist with planting, maintaining, and harvesting of greenhouse and field experiments. The Devos Lab consists of a multinational team of graduate students and post-docs working under the supervision of and with people of different cultural backgrounds. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in next-generation library preparation. This position is grant-funded for five (5) years. While the continuation of funding and employment is anticipated, it is not guaranteed. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Demonstrated molecular analysis competency. Attention to detail. Ability to implement existing protocols. Physical Demands Lift 25 lbs.

Duties/Responsibilities Duties/Responsibilities Conducting and analyzing experiments in the laboratory, the greenhouse, and the field:
- Laboratory work: Data analysis
- entry of data into spreadsheets, data sorting, data processing
- all computational, data reporting using a spreadsheet, document, or presentation formats. Lab organization, and maintenance. Assure essential supplies are available in the lab at all times. Ordering basic chemicals, fertilizers, pots, and other basic supplies. Prepare solutions and media. Collect samples.
- Day to day operation of research greenhouses including basic repairs
- Fieldwork at research sites, collect samples, deliver samples to the lab, install field equipment.
Research data analysis and initial interpretation of results. Determine the next steps of analysis based on the results. Percentage of time 75
