About Trail Cutter Services Trail Cutter Services provides professional outdoor services—lawn care, fertilizer and pest applications, and related property maintenance—for residential and commercial customers. We take pride in clean work, clear communication, and treating every property like it matters. Role summary You will mix and apply lawn and pest control products on customer properties according to labels, company SOPs, and route schedules. Attention to detail is essential —correct product, rate, coverage, and documentation protect customers, the company, and your certification path. Kansas applicator certification is preferred, not required . We will support the right candidate in building skills and credentials. Key responsibilities Apply fertilizers, weed control, and pest products per label directions and company procedures Follow assigned routes and complete stops thoroughly and on time Inspect properties before and after application; note hazards, pets, kids, slope, water features, and sensitive areas Measure, mix, and handle products safely; maintain equipment (sprayers, tanks, PPE) Keep accurate records: products used, rates, weather conditions, and customer notes Communicate professionally with customers and the office when issues arise Represent Trail Cutter Services with a clean appearance and respectful demeanor Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies What success looks like Consistent, even applications with minimal callbacks or rework Labels and SOPs followed every time—no "eyeballing" rates Clear notes and handoffs so the next person on the property is set up to win Reliable attendance and weather-flexible attitude during peak season Requirements Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the shop Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and uneven terrain Ability to lift and carry equipment and product containers as required for the role Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow written procedures Basic smartphone or tablet use for routing/notes (training provided on our tools) Pass background check and any driving record review required for company vehicles Preferred (not required) Kansas commercial applicator certification (or willingness to obtain) Prior lawn care, landscaping, pest control, or agricultural application experience Experience with spray equipment and calibration Schedule & physical demands Field schedule driven by season, weather, and customer demand Standing, walking, bending, and working with spray equipment for extended periods PPE as required (gloves, eye protection, etc.)
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
