At Ryan Lawn & Tree, we're looking for a Turf Trainee who's ready to be both a skilled technician and a trusted advisor — the person homeowners call when their lawn needs saving and the person who delivers results that actually last. What You'll Do Own your route. Manage a route of 400-500 customers, delivering consistent, high-quality service on every visit. Diagnose and solve. Identify lawn problems others can't see and prescribe specific solutions that actually work for each individual property. Deliver the full package. Complete turf bid requests, fertilization applications, aeration, seeding, and service calls across your customer base. Be the expert. Develop a thorough knowledge of turfgrass practices as well as all other Ryan services so you can be a true resource for your customers. Build relationships. Provide excellent account management and customer service — earning the trust of homeowners who take pride in their outdoor spaces.
Requirements:
What You Bring High School Diploma or GED required Experience in horticulture, landscaping, customer service, or a related field preferred Bachelor's or Associate's degree in agronomy, turfgrass, or agricultural sciences is a plus Valid driver's license; ability to obtain DOT certification Ability to obtain and maintain a state-issued pesticide applicator license (turfgrass) within 3 months Ability to lift 50 lbs.
