Overview We are currently taking applications and resumes for an
EXPERIENCED
Heavy Equipment Operator and Commercial Herbicide Applicator. We specialize in Vegetation Management of the Power, Utility and Pipeline Industries, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible. You'll operate a variety of machinery and construction equipment, such as Excavators, Skid Steers, Jarraff trimmers, Tractors with batwing cutters, Marshmaster, zero turn mowers and UTV's, to support vegetation clearing, trimming, and land management projects. Responsibilities Perform groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns. Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, excavators, tractors, and Jarraff trimmers to perform vegetation removal and land clearing tasks. Utilize hand tools and equipment effectively to maintain lawns. Maintain equipment by cleaning, greasing, sharpening blades, and performing minor repairs. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on all equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards are met. Follow detailed project plans and safety protocols during all operations to minimize risks and environmental impact. Collaborate with team members to execute c site activities efficiently while adhering to regulatory guidelines. Assist with site preparation, and debris removal. Completes daily reports, equipment logs, and project documentation. Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance records, and project progress for accountability and reporting purposes. Knowledge of applying Commercial Herbicide a PLUS. Requirements MUST have experience with operating an Excavator, Skid Steer and Tractor (1 year minimum preferred) Have experience in hooking up a trailer, loading a trailer and hauling equipment (1 year minimum preferred). Proficiency in groundskeeping techniques with a strong understanding of lawn care practices. Experience with hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, chainsaws, weedeaters and blowers. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues. MUST have a Valid driver's license; CDL Class A or B preferred Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and quality. Commercial Herbicide Applicator Card preferred. MUST be able to pass random DISA drug and alcohol screening. Pre-Screen In person interview required with hands on equipment knowledge. MUST be able to pass DISA drug and alcohol screen. MUST be able to pass a background check. Starting Salary Rate based on Experience.
Pay:
$17.00 - $30.00 per hour
