Job Description

Seeking an experienced fertilizing technician to work alongside and indirectly with our current technicians in the preparation and application of various lawn fertilizers. Technicians will be required to identify and diagnose turf and landscape plant issues and diseases. Additionally, technicians must be able to safely operate lawn application equipment as well as trucks and trailers for transportation. We are looking for someone with experience maintaining private, public, and commercial landscapes; knowledge of proper treatments and repairs as needed to customers is essential. Mass Pesticide License required for this job. We will pay more for technicians with a Commercial Pesticide License.
Responsibilities:
Prepares solutions and equipment in a safe manner to provide appropriate fertilizer application rates for proper crop development Mixes and sprays/spreads fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides onto crops using hand or automatic sprayers Calculates and calibrates required amounts per field. Administers correct handling, transporting, storage and disposal procedures for chemicals used in a safe manner. Services and maintains turf care equipment for optimal operation and performance.
Requirements:
2-3 years experience is a plus, but at least 1 year is a requirement. Must have a valid MA Pesticide Applicators license, preferably a Commercial Applicator certificate. NH Pesticide Applicators license is a plus, but not a necessity. Must have a valid driver's license. Willing to train the right candidate for this position.
