Fertilizer Applicator Technician

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Fertilizer Technician to ensures that lawns, ornamental plants, and landscaped properties receive the proper nutrients to stay healthy, vibrant, and pest‑resistant. This role combines hands‑on fieldwork with knowledge of turf science, fertilizer products, and safe application practices

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and mix fertilizer products based on turf and plant needs, soil conditions, and seasonal requirements. Apply granular and liquid fertilizers to residential, commercial, and municipal properties using spreaders, sprayers, and injection equipment. Perform weed and pest control applications when licensed and as part of integrated landscape care programs. Inspect lawns and plant beds to identify nutrient deficiencies, pests, diseases, or environmental stress. Maintain and calibrate application equipment to ensure accurate and efficient product delivery. Document all applications including product type, rate, weather conditions, and property notes. Follow all safety and environmental regulations related to chemical handling, storage, and application. Communicate with clients and team members about treatment plans, property conditions, and recommended services.

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license Up to date Pesticide applicator license Knowledge of turfgrass and ornamental plant care Familiarity with fertilizer types and application methods Ability to operate spreaders, sprayers, and landscape equipment Strong attention to detail for accurate mixing and application Comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to read product labels and safety data sheets MDOT Medical card

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for long periods of time. Willingness to work in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.

Pay:

$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
